The Research and Implementation of DLNA Digital Home Network in Ad Hoc Network

Various appliances in a traditional family environment work as "information isolated island" independently, they can not share resources with each other. DLNA digital home network is to solve the problem of interoperability between electronics devices. The key of DLNA function implemented is the UPnP middleware technology.UPnP devices in a DLNA home network interconnected via a wired or wireless router, these two methods require the support of the network infrastructure, or devices can not interconnected. In order to solve the above mentioned problem, this project uses Ad Hoc mode to achieve the DLNA digital home network function. Ad Hoc network technology is well able to meet the above requirements. The devices in Ad Hoc network can interconnected directly without the support of the network infrastructure and AP. Ad Hoc network can not only simplify the network, but also expand the scope of use of the DLNA function.The purpose of this project is to extend the Ad Hoc function of Android system, and make the heterogeneous windows PC and Android embedded development board self-organize into an Ad Hoc network, and then research the UPnP middleware technology to achieve the DLNA function with the use of the Cling development library, finally simulate the scene of DLNA digital home network environment in which heterogeneous terminal can discover and share of resources between each other.
