The Design and Implement of a Collaborative-Trigger Based Service Provision Mechanism in Converged Network

The convergence of Internet and Telecommunication network push ahead the revolution of traditional telecommunication value-add services. On the one hand, with the development of converged communication network, the speed of data transmission has been improved greatly while more powerful media processing ability has been gained on the side of network; On the other hand, as an access device, intellective mobile terminal owns more diversified context-awareness information acquisition sensors and more intellective computing ability, spurring the individualized requirement of communication value-add services.IMS (IP Multimedia System) was introduced by 3GPP in R5 phase aiming at the requirement of converged network service development. IMS is an all-IP based converged network architecture to provide multimedia services to mobile users and IP service control end-end competence to the operators. However, the mechanism of service triggering in IMS, not only made heavy load of the network entities, but also offered few appropriate means to accommodate to the trend of providing flexible service in light of the context information on the terminal of the user.This paper proposes and implements a terminal-communication based converged network service triggering mechanism on the basis of mobile P2P middleware. This novel mechanism is proposed to combine the current service model with P2P communication and computing capabilities of the mobile terminal, resulting in the conversion from central service control to the negotiation service triggering pattern based on context information among terminals, as well as partial service logic migration between terminal and central server. As a result, more flexible service triggering and execution is gained while heavy load of the network has been alleviated, fully meeting the requirement of individualized, context-awareness service triggering.The main work of this paper is as follow:The first chapter gives the research background and the significance of this task. The second chapter introduces the relevant techniques. The third chapter is comparison analysis of this mechanism, focusing on the discussion of service trigger pattern and migration game playing. Based on the service pattern process, the fourth chapter shows the requirements of this pattern. The fifth chapter gives the detailed implementation. The sixth chapter illustrates the deployment and schedule for testing, as well as typical test cases, to verify this pattern. The last chapter makes a summary of the author’s work during projects and points out what could be improved in the system at next stage.
