Optical transmission network is the bottom basic network of the entire telecommunication network/Internet,the large capacity transmission, intelligent management and large capacity cross are three steady evolution direction in its years developing. The large capacity transmission make the structure of the network more complex.However,there is a "Electronic bottleneck" problem because of the Light/electric/light conversion in the each node of the network.The equipment with all optical switching function can be effective to solve the problem in All optical switching network.At present, the optical devices and light signal processing technology wasn’t mature enough. For ROADM node light for cross technology,the light signal (wavelength) scheduling is one way.To ROADM Instructions under Cross configuration instructions,optical device complete wavelength of cross scheduling.However, it unable to confirm whether the node successful realization cross. In order to solve the problems, the wavelength tracking technology was put forward.Wavelength tracking is monitoring and tracking source node in the wavelength of the optical network path.The purpose of the paper is realize the wavelength tracking technology by the way of Modulation signal top, monitoring traces of wavelength and ensure optical network reliable operation and management. The way of Modulation signal top is actually for light layer loading OCH expenses, through this way can achieve in the light of the signal based on a low speed with additional of signals.The low speed signal is tested in Light cross node at a low cost and price.It can positioning fault by matching receiving wavelengths and expectations. The main work has three parts:1. According to ROADM exists problem of hard to locate fault,putting forward the wavelength of tracking technology solutions which based on the way of modulation signal top.Based on ROADM and the the key technology of modulation signal top, Participate in and complete the design of the overall structural frame of the independent framing of low speed signal by this way.2. According to the actual situation of optical fiber transmission system, building its corresponding simulation environment.Then added the low speed signal based on the way of modulation signal top, completed the construction of the simulation model.3. After research the low speed signal based on the way of modulation signal top load in original signal, the frequency modulation and the depth of the change cause 10 G and 40 G optical fiber communication system OSNR and nonlinear price.
