Doppler weather radar is the main method to detect the Precipitation Systems, and is one of the main tools to monitor and make warnings of strong convective weather. While China Meteorological Administration is increasing capital input into the detect instrumentality, and the manpower, material resources and financial power is gradually allocated, Doppler radar stations are built full-scaly, especially the east part which has formed a dense radar monitor network, In support of Jiangsu Provincial government, Jiangsu Provincial Meteorological department goes in advance in radar network development, and so far there has been six Doppler weather radars constructed already. Besides, there is one station that is constructing and another one that is choosing location, so it has made a radar monitor network that covers the whole Jiangsu province. In order to make full use of these radar resources, optimize the current radar product algorithms stored in Doppler radar system, serve for the short-term warning, predicting and forecasting work better, researcher have researched and developed many radar product algorithms based on radar base data, which are suitable for the practical operational applications, in the help of the other conventional weather observational software. Integrating these algorithms into one platform, constructing Doppler radar data real-time processing system, and improving the capacities of business transform from the scientific research, are very meaningful to enhancing the capacities of weather department’s daily warning and forecasting. To construct Doppler radar data real-time processing system, it must monitor multiplex data, process these data to the object products set beforehand in real-time, make sure of the interaction between operator and system and the reliability of the procedure, make the load at the runtime of the system more moderate, besides, the system should easily expend the radar station monitored and radar products developed successively.This paper introduces the present situations of Doppler radar’s development and application at home and abroad at first and points that compared with radar software abroad, although domestic development of radar software is abundant, it is slower when come into operational transformation; it points the main task confronted when integrate the latest radar products research achievements into applications; Then, it summarizes the real-time system and multithread technology respectively, and bring up the feasibility and technical line to construct Doppler radar data real-time process system with multithread technology; Afterwards, it introduces the organization and architecture of the Doppler weather radar system in itself, the acquisition of the radar basedata and products of Doppler weather radar, and interprets how to construct new operational application system based on the original Doppler radar system, gives a preliminary analysis to the problems and the solutions to construct the new system; On the basis of these, it describes the design and implementation of the Doppler radar data real-time processing system, including man-machine interface design, how the system control the generation of the radar products through a multithread control structure, and how to extend the function of the system; At last, it describes the deployment, preferences of radar products and the running status in detail; In practical operational application, the system presents good performances, has resolved the main problems confronted when integrate radar product algorithms, and it has good scalability.
