Research and Implementation of Information Hiding System for Instant Message Based on Synonymy Substitution

The problem of information security is particularly prominent with the developmentof computer network. As an important method for secret communication and copyrightprotection, information hiding has become the hot research topic in the field ofinformation security rapidly, while, text data plays an important part in people’s dailylife. For this reason, the research on text information hiding has important practicalsignificance. Hence, this paper studies the text information hiding in the followingaspects:First of all, this paper introduces the current research status and related concept onthe information hiding, analyzes the model of the information hiding in detail. Then, wepropose a model of information hiding based on multiple carriers and analyze itssecurity.Secondly, an information hiding algorithm based on synonymy substitution forChinese text is improved in this paper. We give the construction of thesaurus and thesynonyms phrase coding algorithm, determine the corresponding relationship betweenmultiple carriers and secret block using the conditional transferred probability, expoundthe embed and extract process. The performance of the algorithm is analyzed throughthe experiment, and the result shows that the multiple carrier information hidingalgorithm based on Chinese synonymy substitution has superior performance and highsafety.Finally, this paper presents an information hiding system for instant message. Itembeds secret information based on multiple carriers and takes communicating contentsfor a part of separate carrier block in order to pass some contents of secret information,so as to achieve the transmission of the secret information. It is an effective attempt forinstant message using the natural language text information hiding, and has a certainpractical value.
