In today 's information age , the mass media has infiltrated every corner of our lives , affecting all aspects . Young people has been a part of the wave of the information age . What kind of countermeasures for the youth specific consumer groups are playing or should play what role in society , the media should take in response to the effects of the media on the education of young people and their social , these are worth exploring and timely solve the problem. Media Literacy research originated in Britain in the 1930s , after 60 years of development , the most developed Western countries have established a more mature theoretical framework and practical system . New areas in our country , which is still a fledgling Chinese scholars in the late 1990s began the study of media literacy education . Youth media literacy helps to improve adolescents' awareness of the media and the dissemination of information , interpretation , evaluation , criticism and take advantage of the overall quality and the actual ability to train them to create independent , healthy media contact , critically and accept evaluation standards , build a healthy and harmonious between young people and the media benign interaction between , so as to respond to the current period of social transformation media ecological changes . Urumqi , as one of the most important cities in western China , about the district youth media information and media impact discrimination analysis capabilities how , how to treat and use a variety of media information and media literacy education in this region . level and carried out the way to become the main content of this paper . By a more in-depth research , first hand empirical material on the media literacy of high school students in Urumqi , Urumqi City high school students , current media literacy status through the analysis of the material , and made corresponding media literacy education has certain interoperability views .
