Testing is extremely important validation and identification of links in the production manufacturing process and product development. The test data obtained by the test is valuable information for decision-making and experience. At present, the vast majority of enterprises and research institutes, test data are in the traditional way of management, with the improvement in test development and test equipment, the traditional management methods cannot meet the needs. Some enterprises and research institutes, even with the means of computer-aided test, still cannot satisfy the demand of the decision-making management information processing. Through in-depth investigation of existing test management model for the test data is independent of the characteristics of dispersion and mass, this paper presents test data management system based on metadata management and ETL.This paper based on extensive research, analysis, test data management status and test data characteristics, user requirements, test data management and applications, focuses on metadata management and ETL process design and implementation of metadata management and ETL-based test data management system, referred to as TDM. In-depth study of the characteristics of the experimental data on the basis of a more detailed analysis of test data management needs, design the overall framework for test data management system, the system structure, function modules, and programming the system.In addition, the related core technologies: metadata management, ETL database technology, socket communication technology, this paper is in-depth research, and achieves meta-warehouse-based TDM systems, as well as the corresponding three-tier structure-based ETL tool. Focusing on the problem of the mass test data presentation, this paper is also in-depth discussion, and researches data presentation based on the ActiveX control technology to solve the efficiency and interactivity of the mass test data presentation. This system has been running in the part of institute. Users reflect the good, and achieve the desired effect.Focusing on the theory and methods of metadata and ETL, this paper is in-depth research and explore, especially researches for the model of test data management and technical framework. The results achieved by this paper, have a strong theoretical reference value and practical significance with the establishment of the similar test data management software.
