With the development of high-technology, information warfare which replacesmechanized warfare is becoming the main form of future wars in the field of military. Atthe same time, the expression and visual analytics of multidimensional digital battlefieldplay a very important role in future wars. Under this background, the major militarycountries in the world invest a lot of human, financial and material resources in theresearch of military symbol expression,2D-3D linkage and multidimensional informationvisual analytics in a way of competition. Recently, the situation analysis has attractedwidespread concern from the national seniors who want to have a better way to makedecisions. Therefore, scientific expression and visual analytics of multidimensional digitalbattlefield situation information have far-reaching significance.Under the background of “863” aerospace projects, in this paper we have someexaminations and innovations on irregular military symbol generation, design the frame oftwo and three dimensional linkage and visual analytics of multidimensional digitalbattlefield situation. Simultaneously, it has been applied in the expression and visualanalytics of multidimensional digital battlefield situation about aerospace in the designand implementation. The concrete research work is as follows:Firstly, we make a research on the marking algorithm of irregular military symbol.Based on geometry shader, this paper provides an algorithm for arrow symbols marking.This method improves the plotting facility and editing flexibility of the irregular militarysymbol.Secondly, we design the frame of2D-3D linkage. Under this frame, by analyzing theadvantages and disadvantages of the2D and3D situation visualization, and integrated theadvantages of both expression, the battlefield situation is displayed in a2D-3D, static anddynamic, detail and global way.Finally, we also focus on visual analysis of multidimensional digital battlefieldsituation. With the parallel coordinate and curve technique, a novel method of visualanalysis of battlefield situation base on is proposed. With the method, multidimensionalbattlefield elements are refined and parallel coordinates curve of situation analysis is designed. The national senior can observe and analyze the relationship of informationamong multidimensional battlefield situation with human-computer interactive techniques.
