Pulse-taking has much significance to traditional Chinese medical science (TCMS)which is the experience collected by the people nearly from thousands years ago. With thedevelopment of information technology (IT), human pulse objectification (HPO) comestrue. Pulse signal processing and recognition of human pulse (HP) are studied in this thesiswhich promotes TCMS development.In this thesis pulse condition instrument (PCI) is set up based on new sensor of PVDF,high speed DSP sampling card and human-computer interface (HI). The analog signal ofHP which is get by the sensor is sampled by DSP. The physical signal can be transformedinto the digital signal by PCI. Wavelet transform (WT) and characteristics of HP noisedistribution is used for digital pulse signal denoise. Experiments showthathigh-frequencynoise, power frequency and baseline drift have been effectivelyrestrained. Compared with pulse-taking of TCMS, this thesis puts forward the newcharacteristic value (CV) definition. Power spectrum estimate and Cubic spline are used toabstract the CV. At last of this thesis, a new method of recognition of HP which is basedon classified CV is put forward. The result shows that the recognition of HP though newmethod is more accurate and generally than the traditional ways.The whole system of PCI including sensor module, sample module, digital signalprocess and recognition module, and HI module is designed in this thesis, whichimplements pulse condition detecting and recognition. Based on this thesis study anddiscussion, it promotes the development of HPO and TCMS.
