Three coordinate measuring machine is the main general measurement instrument of workpiece contour,shape and position dimensions.Because of its complex mechanical structure, huge systems and expensive price, it is limited to make it into application.Therefore,we propose a new model of three coordinate measuring machine which is based on virtual coordinates measurement.Virtual coordinate measurement is based on the digital image processing technology,which is a breakthrough of the traditional measurement method.It largely simplify the traditional measuring machine body to make the displacement measurement size of3D space.This paper mainly makes a study of the measured plane X, Y direction displacement and rotation angle A using the technology of digital image.This is a key technology in development process of a new type of three coordinate measuring machine.Based on the in-depth analysis of the detecting displacement which is based on the theory of digital image,I design the implementation scheme of the plane displacement measurement system.On the base of measuring theory on the displacement,I design the hardware circuit board of measurement system. Chosing the MCU P89V51RD2FN as the microprocessor control unit,image information was collected and optical navigation chip output pulse value information in the mobile process.what is more,we can make pulse value into displacement parameter values through the mathematical function relationship and control the digital display on X,Y direction displacement and rotation angle of floating platform.Hardware circuit of the system mainly concludes the MCU minimum circuit system,the I/O export expansion circuit,the displacement pulse square wave phase discriminator counting circuit,the digital tube display circuit and the serial communication circuit and so on.Finally,the platform displacement and rotation parameter are displayed through the digital tube LED.This paper introduces the fuction of the hardware circuit and the design of the program system in detail.Drawing the circuit hardware Schematic and PCB diagram by using Protel software,and making the printed circuit board.Using the C51programming language greatly improves the developping and debugging work efficiency in the microcontroller programming.The program consists of the single-chip initialization,8255A settings,display module and the main program and so on.Assembling mechanical and electrical parts and debugging,I finally completed the plane displacement measurement platform.By experimental verification,It is feasible that the paper adopts a planar displacement measurement method based on digital image.The developed instrument can achieve the middle-low precision of the measurement requirements
