Metal bellows is a kind of thin elastic shell parts with transverse corrugated, usually as the sensitive element and suspension components. It is widely used in machinery, automobile, shipbuilding and other industries. S type Welded metal bellows belongs to deep processing technology category of thin tubing. It not only achieves high dimensional accuracy but also meets the requirements of all kinds of high technical performance and reliability. How to design metal bellows efficiently is becoming the core means of competitiviness in industry.Metal bellows has complicated shape its size is different according to different purposes. So the drawing needs to be redesigned each time and takes much time. In the case of a low cost in a short period of time to complete development task, using AutoCAD for the development of metal bellows inside the AutoLISP secondary development programming language. The programming language was widely used in the field of industrial design engineering personnel can skilled application.Based on AutoCAD software platform, this article has created custom menu and dialog box with the secondary development tools and language of AutoLISP, and it also has achieved the drawings by parametric. This article has studied the following contents:(1)According to the research in domestic and overseas of the welded metal bellows, three kinds of S type welded metal bellows rules are established. The metal bellows is drawn up by the initial radius, inner diameter, outer diameter, pitch, thickness of plate and land length distance.(2)The LISP and DCL dialog files were developed in AutoCAD by using AutoLSIP language and all the files were loaded and runed successfully. Users just only need input the related parameters, could be directly obtained metal bellows of2d drawings and dimensions and3d modeling.(3)The stress of metal bellows is analyzed by using ANSYS analysis software and it is studied that the influence of main parameters of metal bellows on the stress.
