The Design and Implement of Internet Monitoring Equipment

With the development of technology,Internet plays more and more important role in people’s daily life. Internet makes people’s life convenient, but as the same time it becomes a challenge to manager the Internet. The effective management of Internet will make it run normally and avoid the loss caused by the fault of Internet。The Internet monitoring is an important part of the management of Internet, which has two parts:passive monitoring and active monitoring. Passive monitoring gets the information of Internet by analyzing the traffic collected passively. Active monitoring will send probe information which will be responded by Internet. Active monitoring gets the information of Internet by analyzing the response. The Internet Active Monitoring System uses active monitoring and gets the information of Internet by active monitoring software.In this paper, I design and implement the Internet monitoring equipment on which the active monitoring software runs. The Internet monitoring equipment can be divided into hardware part and software part. The hardware part contains performance determination, chip selection, schematic design and printed circuit board design. The software part contains U-Boot bootloader, Linux kernel, applications and programming application of Nand Flash. I introduce the process of hardware and software design in detail and integrate them into a whole system. The equipment has run well in the network of Network Operator.
