As one of top five methods of transport, pipeline transport plays a more and moreimportant role with the growth of economy. The way of testing and protecting thepipeline is making progress all the time. But these ways can just fit the pipelines on theland, there is no suitable way for the pipeline passing though the river and under water.So making research of these pipelines’ protecting coating is important and valuable.This thesis is about the hardware of the system of testing the protecting coating onthe pipeline under the river based on the technology abroad. The hardware of thissystem contains two parts: hardware of the high-power sender, and hardware of theexact receiver. The work in this thesis is as follows:1. Relative knowledge of protecting the pipeline and status in China, thetechnology and products abroad are introduced in this thesis, and the advantages anddisadvantages of the methods are compared. According to the characteristic of thepipelines passing through river, electromagnetic method and ACVG(AlternatingCurrent Voltage Grad)are used as the method of testing the pipelines.2. According to the functional requirement and technical indicator, the designalternative is presented, and all the designed modules, including the digital circuit, theanalogous circuit, the power circuit and so on, and the code of FPGA in digital controlsystem.3. After the test’s being completed, the hardware and the software should beimproved to achieve the technical indicator. This system has been tested many times inthe laboratory, and be used to the pipeline’s test. According to the test result, this thesismakes measure to improve the system’s precision, and makes planning of the system oftesting the protecting coating on the pipeline under the river.
