As most of signal simulator hardware design once completed, the signal can not be changed easily, this paper is to design and implement a sonar signal simulator which is convenient, flexible and reconfigurable.The system design idea is presented based on the analysis of the design requirement. The system is composed of memory module, signal conditioning module, DAC module, keyboad module and LCD display module;The central processors of this system are 5509A and EP1C6Q240C8; With the built-in USB interface of 5509A, the system can communicate with PC machine.5509A takes charge of processing digital signal and communicating with PC machine. EP1C6Q240C8 takes charge of logic managing, including writing the data to memory module which PC machine transfersed;reading the data of memory module and controling the DAC module to transform the digital signal into analog signal. When the system works whitout machine, keyboard module controls the system, but in on-line mode, PC machine contrls the system.In this article we major in the design of hardware of the signal simulator and the USB interface development. We develop the application of PC machine to PC machine can control the system. Also in this paper, we implement the communication interface development of the system, complete the hardware debugging:design and implement the communication between DSP and FPGA, DSP and Flash, implement writing Flash, reading Flash, erasing Flash, reading the device ID number. PC machine can control the system, write date to Flash which will be emited after power-on. At the end of this article, we test the data transferred speed and the communication between each module.
