With the rapid growing demand of China’s medical items, it’s estimated that China will become the second largest drug market of the whole world in the next ten years, and the rapid expansion and prosperity has also give China’s pharmaceutical industry huge opportunity and challenge. Meanwhile, we also should pay attention to the contradiction between the behindhand medical logistics system and the ever-increasing medical demand. At present, there are two worrying aspects of our country’s medical logistics. First, drug has been regarded as special goods for a very long time, and medical circulation is also under the protection of policy system. Second, traditional management pattern has occupied the mainstream status of medical logistics, the information-based construction and application in our medical industry is in the lower level. Consequently, the logistics cost of pharmaceutical enterprise is always remain high. In this paper, we discuss the vehicle routing problem of medical logistics based on the current situation of Yunnan Baiyao Group Co.Ltd. In order to improve the transfer efficiency of medical logistics and reduce operating costs, we adopt Ant Colony algorithm to optimize the actual vehicle routing problem of Yunnan Baiyao.First, we analyze and summarize the history and research status of vehicle routing problem, and this can provide theoretical basis for us. Second, we select the Yunnan Baiyao group co., LTD as the research object, and establish the vehicle routing optimization problem with the constraints of monocentric, multi-vehicle and soft time windows. Third, this paper chose the path of the ant colony algorithm to solve the Yunnan Baiyao Group co., LTD optimization problem. In the end, put forward Pharmaceutical distribution of yunnan baiyao co., LTD. Kunming city development countermeasures are put forward the downtown Kunming pharmaceutical distribution based on the calculated vehicle routing optimization solution.
