With sustainable economic and social development, on the one hand, people’s requirement on food gradually turn to concern its safety, quality, freshness, environment protection and so on. On the other hand, due to the constantly emerging of new technology, the relations between and among enterprise, customers, and suppliers is becoming more and more important. So, building a sturdy food supply chain is in favor of the enterprise to provide high quality products and services with low cost to gain the advantages on market competition.This article analyzed the particularity on food supply chain; and probed into the effective way to implement it.This article focuses on discussion the development food company, why they need to implement SCM; and how to realize it. Specifically, we take X air catering company as an example, firstly analyzed the matters occurring in the progress when enterprise transition from small-scale to medium-scale, and positioned its business scope through BCG Matrix, to prove X air catering company is not only just fit for SCM but also need to implement it according to the result of analysis and positioning. Then, state X Company adaptive its internal process to SCM by using the lean production, management information system and total quality management, through the using of e-commerce environment and total quality management software to achieve the SCM standard. Finally, illustrate advantages and influences which brought by SCM to the enterprise.Hoping this research could be a reference when for the food enterprises implement SCM, especially for the enterprise which in development and transformation.
