In the customer economy period, the enterprises are facing increasing pressure from customer,competition and the changing. Many enterprises are facing the problem of how to understandteam working, increase the performance through the guidance ability of performance appraisal,and further more, to accomplish its strategy objectives. The intension and speciality of differenttypes of teams are compared and researched in the purpose of improving the understandings ofthese teams. And the performance appraisal methods based on the characteristics of each type areprobed on the basis of that. Comparative analysis, research approach and case analysis approachare used as the main tools to do the inductive analysis of the intension and speciality of differenttypes of teams. Graphology is applied to show the results of the analysis. Further more, theresults are tested by sampling investigation to ensure the reliability. The main research contentscan be sorted into3points as below:1.The concepts, characteristics and key factors to performance of the four kinds of team,which are sorted as steady team, project team, virtual team and crowd-sourcing team.2.The inner logic relation and main difference between these4team types.3.The performance appraisal and management methods are probed directly according tocharacteristics of different team types, key factors of influence on performance and thetheory of performance appraisal and management.The innovation in this paper is focused on the research contents. First, different types ofteams that have inner relations are researched and compared together. The speciality and thedynamic in these team types are discovered through the research, and made into the key factorsin the choosing of performance appraisal methods, which is not common in former researches.In addition, The crowd-sourcing team, which is rarely studied yet in demonstrate, is includedattempting to make some construction to the management science in the internet age.
