Bus accidents caused by human factors, road traffic conditions and vehicle structure. The developed country advanced CAE design technique, the hypothesized experimental technology and the high level production process as well as the consummation laws and regulations system and so on. In China, the structural safety of the bus is insufficient. And less research and insufficiently thorough, the legal system is still not perfect.This article has carried out the bus safety of structure research and the exploration. It verified that the bus model was reasonable and effective by a variety of model collision simulation studies with non-linear finite element theory and dynamic simulation using finite element analysis technology.(1) It should that main forms of traffic accident were positive collision, side collision, rolling and so on by statistics and analysis of passenger car road traffic accident data, also it explained significance of the study on automobile passive safety.(2) It built the platform of passenger cars in the finite element simulation model by simplifying the bus model, establishing its geometry with Pro/E and importing into pre-processing of Hyper Mesh software with CAE technology.(3) It simulated positive bus collision test by reference to the Chinese C-NCAP data, also it simulated side bus collision test and verified feasibility of the mobile barrier model MDB according to Chinese laws and regulations of "Automotive Side Impact Occupant Protection.(4) It simulated the dynamic process of bus rolling by reference to the United States relating to passenger FMVSS208 requirements, studied bus acceleration, body deformation and energy changes, and summarized test methods of the dynamic bus rolling simulation.The results indicated that the work of this paper has the reference significance to bus collision security simulation research, also it can provides the practical significance reference value for the bus body structural design, the safety performance analysis and the traffic accident processes in the actual production.
