In the background of a huge gap between the undeveloped and developed regions, it has somewhat theoretical and practical significance to research the development of private enterprise in undeveloped region. Firstly, to figure out some basic questions of private economy in less developed areas:1. To define the scope of less developed areas, and summarize some characteristics from the three aspects of economic, social and geographical at the same time;2. To expound the concept of the private economy and summarize three development stages, which is recovery stage of development, rapid growth stage and improve growth stage respectively;3. To summarize the basic connotation and some characteristics of the private economy in less developed areas. Then as a theoretical guidance with the three collective leadership’s ideas to develop the private economy, obtained some reality enlightenment for the development of private enterprise in undeveloped regions.On this basis, through the special case study of guoxi group co. LTD. from its successful aspects reflects the existing problems of development of the private enterprise in underdeveloped areas:1. The resource utilization is not full, the lack of economic advantages;2. The business diversification is blindly, the lack of core competitiveness;3. The construction of enterprise culture is insufficient, the lack of core value;4. The corporate social responsibility is deficiency, the lack of enterprise responsibility;5.Deny family enterprise blindly and lack of excellent entrepreneur.In view of the above questions, to develop the private economy thought as the guide, draw lessons from the successful experience of guoxi group, puts forward several proposals to develop the private enterprise in less developed region:1. Should fully utilize resources rationally, play the comparative advantage;2. Should implement the market diversification and cultivate core competence;3. Should strengthen the construction of enterprise culture, the establishment of the company’s core values;4. Should enhance the enterprise social responsibility, and establish a good living environment;5. Should face the role of family enterprises, foster excellent entrepreneur.
