The pharmaceutical retail market is becoming more and more competitive inChina, and the management requirements increase accordingly. As competition withinthe industry transferred from product to service, the requirements of salesclerks arehigher, and the management of salesclerks becomes the top priority of management.Therefore, in order to maintain and enhance the competitiveness of enterprises, rightmanagement methods of salesclerks must be found. Among many mainstreammanagement theories, humanized management is one of the development directions ofenterprise management in the future. Humanized management of salesclerks enhancessales and the core competitiveness of enterprises, and ensures sustainabledevelopment of the company.This thesis selects Hunan Jiuzhitang Retail Chain Co., Ltd.(hereafter JiuzhitangChain) as its research object, using web survey, on-the-spot investigation, interviewsand other methods for the research. Based on the theories of humanized management,combined with analyzing the situations of Jiuzhitang Chain and its competitors, itdetermines that the main goal of the humanized management of salesclerks inJiuzhitang Chain is to enhance the salesclerks’ satisfactions and the performance ofcompany; the focuses are the improvement of institutions and the salesclerks’satisfaction. For the realization of humanized management rather than managementbased on human feelings, and to avoid bias, the institutions should be set first, and thesalesclerks’ satisfaction should be constrained by certain rules. According to arelevant survey, main salesclerks’ dissatisfaction reflects prominently in theperformance management and career management. Therefore, improving of thehumanized management of salesclerks in Jiuzhitang Chain should start from these twoaspects. It is anticipated that after a period of implementation, it will improve thesalesclerks’ work enthusiasm, enhance the business quality, increase enterpriseperformance, and enhance the competitiveness of the enterprise. In order to betterhumanized management of salesclerks, it should publicize the concept of humanizedmanagement, communicate more, and gain the commitment of all employees. Humanresource management staff must do analysis work of the employee needs, andregularly revise the improvement program.The proposal of this thesis is supposed to enhance the core competitiveness and help keep sustainable development for Jiuzhitang Chain, and it is also expected to beof some value to similar enterprises in the industry.
