With the continuous development of the national reform and opening up, our domestic trade companies have gained continued progress driven by the national economy, the number of trades and its amount played an important role in China’s foreign trade and become the majority of trade and economic income. With the trend of global economic integration and the development of information networks, the competition has been intensified. Corporate strategy and strategic management has get more and more attention in business management sector, the modern theory of strategic management has also upgraded continuously with the development of the world.As a major form of international marketing channels, trading company plays the role like link and bridge in international trade activities, and the implementation of strategic management upon trading companies has great practical significance.From the point of modern theory of corporate strategy, this paper aimed to develop the strategic objectives and implementation plans appropriate to the trading company which is mainly discussed in this paper with various popular strategic analysis tools, through strategic planning, management and implementation process according to the characteristics of trading companies.The trading company which is discussed in this article does real exist, in order to maintain trade secrets, with the S Corporation instead. Firstly, analyze external industry environment of the S company, industry characters and important influences events, work out the opportunities and threats of S company based on analysis result of the five competitive forces on business breakdown. Secondly, analyze the internal environment of S company, focus on the current development status of the business segments and their respective value chains, as well as the industry value chain which eventually reached the core of S’s own competitive strengths and weaknesses. Through SWOT analysis result of the S company, ultimately determine the company’s development strategy and the strategic guidelines, work out the company’s competitive strategy on based on the correlation matrix analysis tool, and determine the company’s short-term development strategy. Finally, list the specific strategy implementation measures accordance to the develop status of S company.With the modern management theories, the industry environment, development status is mainly studied in this paper systematically, bring out the following development strategy:integrate purchase channels, optimize warehouse structure; optimize business products combination; scale-up customized products, widen the target industries and catch development opportunities. The emphasis of the paper is on the application of enterprise real-world strategy, it is valuable to reference both for actual operation and theoretical guidance.
