With the gradual deepening of the global economic integration development inrecent years, the speed of development of the regional economic integration is alsogrowing fast, then this form of regional economic integration behavior of the freetrade zone to be used by more and more countries. After joining the WTO, theChinese government, in order to further equality, mutual benefit, reciprocity principleto strengthen economic and trade communication with other countries, reached anagreement to establish a free trade zone with ASEAN in2002, China’s announced.This move not only adapt to the global trend of the development of regional economicintegration, but also opens up the strategic planning of the development of free tradezones in China. January1,2010, China-ASEAN Free Trade Area officiallycompleted, it has also become the largest free trade zone comprised of developingcountries.China-ASEAN Free Trade Area was established to provide a good opportunityfor China’s direct investment in ASEAN. In the same time, due to the characteristicsof the market and their own reasons, the direct investment of Chinese enterprises toASEAN is facing a lot of problems.Investment effects of the free trade zone and China’s foreign direct investmenttheory-based analysis of Chinese enterprises the opportunities and problems that mayarise in the entry and expansion of the ASEAN market, and last, respectively, from thethree levels of government, industry associations and enterprises to owncountermeasures and suggestions.
