Energy conservation is China’s basic national policy. And nowadays, the energy contradiction between supply and demand is increasingly serious in the domestic and overseas. Under this environment, the concrete which is made up by cement, sand, stone and the other materials is a low-energy building material, and it has economical advantages. However, the cement is a high-energy consumption material, and it limits the use of concrete. Therefore, the cement industry is urgent to reduce the energy consumption through kinds of methods, so as to get better economic benefits, social benefits and higher labor productivity. Due to the characteristic of high-energy consumption of the cement industry, the energy conservation potential is tremendous. There are more aspects of energy conservation which worth studying, and using the kinds of measures to save energy will become an inexorable trend in the cement industry.The thesis is based on years of practice and focusing on the following aspects: the new technology of cement production, the main electrical equipment and different control modes for different devices. the bases of kinds of technique of saving energy, such as supply, distribution and consumption. the theoretical basis of using the variable frequency device to save energy. the feasibility of optimizing control to indirectly save energy through the DCS system. the economical efficiency of many measures in the practical application.Base on the experience, the thesis uses plenty of data to analyze the incipient additional investment and the time of regaining investment. The datum are from several methods that are increasing the voltage of power supply, improving the power factor, reasonably choosing the location of substation and electric rooms, controlling the load efficiency of transformer, choosing cable according to economic current consistency. The thesis gives economic conclusions.With the cement process and the characteristic of different equipments and control methods, the thesis explains that it can get the obvious effect of reducing power consumption through many kinds of electrical measures in the large cement plant. The measures have logical configuring distribution voltage, controlling capacity of green transformer, using of green reactive power compensation devices and high efficiency equipments, improving control modes with inverter, optimizing control through the DCS system.
