Pre-treatment directly decided the effect of painting as important process. The traditionalphosphating did not meet the need of development because of high energy consumption andsevere pollutions.The research on new and environmental pre-treatment had great significance.The subject studied on the process parameters with pre-treatment products to Zirconium as themain target in the pre-treatment and explored on the new application of pre-treatment.The paper studied mainly liquid zirconium and researched on process conditions of thenew pre-treatment technology via relying on existing equipment. It could be got gooddegreasing effect when sodium hydroxide was30g/L, sodium metasilicate was15g/L,sodiumgluconate and sodium carbonate are2.5g/L respective, assisted by low-foam surfactantsJH-625S0.2%.The process based on laboratory with liquid zirconium was studied. The effect ofparameters on liquid zirconium was studied by salt water corrosion and salt spray experiment.Liquid zirconium could achieve the best when the accelerator was1%, the concentration was8%and pH value was4.5. According to the above data, the application ranges of liquidzirconium were the accelerator0.8-3%, the concentration7-10%and pH value4.0-5.5.The process based on pilot test with liquid zirconium was studied. The excellentapplication effect of liquid zirconium was verified by the pilot test of the certain refrigeratorproduction line. The adding method of solution was determined by the variation of theparameters in the using process. The results showed that Degreasing agentJH-625R was25kgper eight hours, the surfactants JH-625S was2.5kg per eight hours, liquid zirconium JH-801was24kg per eight hours and the accelerator JH-802was3kg per eight hours. The effectiverange of parameters was determined through long-term. In addition, liquid zirconium had agood effect on different materials. The problem of traditional phosphating was solved.
