At present, China’s major oil fields are entering a period of high water extraction stage, and it needs to tap the potential use of a variety of measures and technical measures in order to improve the ultimate recovery and protect oil fields to develop steadily. Through Cased Hole Formation Resistivity Logging is a new technology developed abroad in recent years to determine the remaining oil saturation and it can present a reliably measurement of the resistivity of the casing layer of the field. Through Cased Hole Formation Resistivity Logging can determine the resistivity of the layer outside the tube through casing the high power square wave current into the wall and detect the weak voltage caused by the current leaked into the layer through the inner of the well.This paper-presents the overall design of the Cased Hole Formation Resistivity logging communication instrument through discussing the principles of Cased Hole Formation Resistivity logging and combining with the development of logging technology,and the paper also describes the details of USB-based telemetry board circuit underground and the software and hardware design of Manchester communication,and at the same time it analysis the test results get from the casing resistivity logging tool,including the acquisition accuracy of data, the instrument calibration test and ground test in the Field, and finally concludes with the direction of improving the work
