Positive Displacement Motor (PDM) widely used in oil drilling, geological exploration, construction of pipeline construction and defense engineering. There are many problems in PDM, including seal leakage, the rubber bushing substantial vibration, thermal deformation, stress uneven, shorter life expectancy. Due to the wide range of applications, studying is very urgent. In numerical analysis, the study focused on the Progressing Cavity Pump using CFD or Solid numerical methods. Coupling calculation is rarely. Fluid completely connectivity, can not achieve true mobile sealed chamber. It is understood that there is no success case using FSI in PDM, It is necessary to solve this problem.The PDM movement contains high-speed rotating and collision. The three-lobe motor model has been established with hydraulic drive, according to the PDM linear theory. The model takes into account a hyperelastic rubber bushing, and the friction in the rotor. Immersed boundary method will be introduced into the flow-solid coupling calculations. The dynamic simulation analysis of the three-blade motor is successful.By numerical analysis, a real-time distribution of the stress of the rubber bushing has been got. The paper discussed the work efficiency of the PDM with different rubber bushings stator, different pressure, different pitch and different drilling fluid dynamic viscosity. These conclusions of the PDM are important.To sum up the paper constructs PDM numerical computing platform. Flow-solid coupling analysis could be use for various types of PDM, It can improve product quality, shorten the development cycle.
