Physical effects, field effects and physical message passing model of each coalfieldfire area burning stage are studied and analysed systematically in this paper,and thecoal fire detection methods are discussed theoretically based on different perspectives,so are the using conditions and the use-phase of different methods. On that basis,airborne natural-color remote sensing technique of high spatial resolution, thermalinfrared remote sensing technique of high spectral resolution, and the comprehensivedetection technique, of thermal infrared detection technique, radon-measuring technique,and ground penetrating radar detection technique in the wild, are used to detect andmonitor the fire area of the Wuda coalfield, relying on the project called Shenhua Wuhaienergy company Wuda coalfield fire area aerial remote sensing monitoring. Through thestudy area, the18th Fire District for example, information about the coal fire ofmulti-source detection is researched and analysed comprehensively, the scope of theWuda coalfield fire area is determined, and combined with the fire are scope data of2002,2006,2009three years, coal fire burning and developing space information of thestudy area are mastered, monitoring of the Wuda coalfield fire area is accomplished.Finally, the situation of detecting and monitoring Wuda coalfield fire area by usingaerial remote sensing and ground geophysical detection techniques is studied, thedetecting methods are remarkable, and the air-ground integration detection methodshave the useful value for extension and application.
