Marine environmental noise is an important interference background field in underwateracoustic channel, the research and application of marine environmental noise has beenwidespread concerned. The in-depth study of the marine environment noise has far-reachingsignificance in China’s future development of marine resources as well as sonar equipmentdesign.This paper is based on the OMAP-L138dual-core processors to build a portablefour-channel data acquisition system, including the choice of system solutions, the design ofhardware, the development of DSP-side software program, the development of the drivers andapplications of embedded system. This system which was as auxiliary equipment was appliedin the marine environmental noise measurement. The original records of the noise on themarine environment can be achieved by use the system.The hardware and software design of the portable four-channel data acquisition systemwas completed, specific content are as follows:The hardware and software design of the multi-channel and massive data recordingsystem is completed, and the specific contents are as follows:Hardware design: the design about a hardware structure based on the OMAP-L138four-channel mass data recording system was designed, including the power supply circuit,the front-end analog-to-digital conversion circuit, CPLD circuit and OMAP-L138peripheralinterface circuit.4AD chip parallel synchronous data acquisition was used in theanalog-to-digital conversion circuit.4AD chip OMAP-L138EMIFA interface address spacemapped was achieved in CPLD circuit.Software design: The DSP program was designed to achieve the function of AD chipsampling timing control and data acquisition cache. Designed for applications based onembedded Linux system and driver was used to achieve the function of communicating withthe DSP, and the storing data through SATA interface to SATA storage device.Finally, simulation and test about the design of four-channel data acquisition system hasbeen done, to verify the rationality and feasibility of the design. The same time, improvementmeasures have been proposed to the system to prepare for further study of the four-channeldata acquisition system.
