A new kind of mini type impulse responder is presented in this paper.A responder can be used to help radar to measure a target, but the current responder is heavy, expensive and lack of loading platform. The research on developing a mini pulse transponder for releasing the balloon is of great value.According to the analysis of different view, the scientific index put forward and verified in theory in the article creates conditions for economization and light-weight of products; by various comparison and textual research, the designed module, with competitive price capacities of reception, detection, controllability、modulation and transmission are concentrated in, makes the key problem of the system solved and the main obstacle preventing cost reduction overcome, and finally complete the project. The mini impulse responder is heavy, inexpensive and capable of meet specification requirements for using radar, by releasing the balloon. It can be used to assess radar response tracking, and to provide more control of the external campaign letter source for multi-target or high-resolution radar.Due to its advantage of price and performance, The mini impulse responder will be widely used in the future, which is often adopted in space tracking networks.
