Study of fuel spray is very important for the power performance and fuel economy ofthe automobile and the protection of atmospheric environment. The image of the fuel sprayin the country remaining in the initial stage. The processing and researching of spray imageneeds further improved and enhanced.Firstly, test in progress by using the car with the engine nozzle, the Malvern,high-resolution digital camera, hand pressure fuel injection pump and other equipment,arranging a good spray field and the surrounding environment, Secondly, shooting the No.0diesel oil in spray field, the method used directly shooting method and the method ofMalvern. Use the particle measurement system on spray image after median filtering andmaximum entropy thresholding, getting the average diameter, characteristics diameter, thePDF distribution curve and cumulative volume distribution curve of the spray droplets, toevaluate the atomizing quality of droplet. The particle measurement system uses theMATLAB/GUI software to interface design.This paper, establish and improve the spray image particles libraries in spray particleimage matching process and, and mainly discusses the match of the spray particles andparticle segmentation algorithm, test the resulting particle image, find images to analyze andcontrast image matching algorithm, combined with the already matching algorithm todesign a new algorithm suitable for the paper. Though the traditional method of SSDA andNCC, The paper integrate two algorithms into one. After the completion of the matchremaining particles split and add, using region growing algorithm，image segmentation andsegmentation algorithm fusion algorithm commonly used for particle processing.Completed the analysis and then create a GUI interface and writing software, the algorithmcan be realized in software, and constantly improve the particle library.Finally, the results of the software were analyzed by the Malvern processing data,obtain the data and software results, and then verify the comparability and usefulness of theproposed algorithm and software.
