Buildings energy consumption has accounted for60%to70%of the total energyconsumption, Consider green buildings adoption to achieve the energy saving objectives inChina to protect China’s environment has a very profound meaning. This paper has a practicalsignificance to achieve green buildings in the case of limited funds by promote greenbuildings, protect environment and save energy by Optimal selection of the constructionmaterial.This paper analyzed the terms of the Evaluation Standard for Green Building andextracted all the construction materials concerned terms. Meanwhile, this paper analyzedgreen building materials certification system and established a practical materials library. Thispaper analysis the pros and cons of several common optimization methods. A properlymethod is selected based on the analysis above. And then this paper combined with theestablishment of green building materials library and green construction materials to optimize15th high-rise residential building in Xi’an International Studies University material.On the basis of investigation and the data collated from empirical analysis, this paperfound that our country will get a prominent effect on the optimization of Chinese traditionalbuildings to meet the Evaluation Standard for Green Buildings. Although it may have anincrease about10%in the overall cost, we can get a far-reaching on the benefits of theenvironment.
