Currently, the main steam pressure of supercritical boiler feed pumps for thermal power plants of China is up to31MPa, and the temperature is as high as610℃. In order to meet the rapid development of China’s electric power technology, the pump capacity needs to be increased steadily and strict requirements are placed on its reliability, economy and efficiency.In this paper, based on the CZ boiler feed pump for600MW supercritical thermal power unit developed and researched independently, the model pump’s design was researched, which was verified from aspects of structure design, numerical simulation and analysis of hydraulic parts, and final test verification.Firstly, the strcture of CZ high-pressure boiler feed pump was designed that the first stage impeller adopted the type of double suction and the impellers from the second stage to the sixth stage adopted the type of back-to-back arrangement. The inner casing adopted the structure of double casing with horizontal split. The spiral hydraulic seals, and the three oil wedge radial bearings and the Kingsbury thrust bearings were adopted in this pump. Rotation was clockwise when viewed from driven end. Secondly,3D design software of Pro/ENGINEER was applied to establish3D model of hydraulic parts in the pump, with the pre-processing software Gambit in Fluent, the meshing was carried out for flow fields of hydraulic parts. The Computational Fluid Dynamic(CFD) was used to numerically analyze and calculate the3D flow fields of hydraulic parts in order to obtain the inner flow. It was verified that the design of this pump can completely meet the design requirements and can be trially manufactured. Finaly, the test with lowered speed on the trially manufactured pump was carried out, which showed the performance of this pump can totally achieve the design parameters and the trial manufacture was successful.Supercritical high-pressure boiler feed water is an important equipment with high technology, which needs to learn and research more for us. I hope this paper will be helpful for the developmemt of boiler feed pump technology.
