Power demand increasing continually is due to high speed development of domestic industry, which promotes fast development of fossil power in China. So, as one of the most important auxiliary equipments in fossil power generating unit, design and research of a high pressure boiler feed water pump seem very important, especially for a super critical unit with capacity of600MW to1000MW (extra super critical). Nowadays, boiler feed water pumps for super critical units with capacity of1000MW have been mainly imported. This article reaches on localization of the pump in1000MW super critical unit, with a structure of double casing and horizontal split, demonstrates characteristic and performance in design and structure and puts forwards solutions to the problems happened in the research process.
