With the rapid development of economy and people’s living standard continuing to improve, the demand for electricity continues to increase, it has higher requirements of grid security and stability and reliable power supply, so that UHV power transmission become the inevitable trend of development. Therefore, a comprehensive evaluation of the project of UHV power transmission engineering has important research value and practical significance.Taking the construction of Anhui-Shanghai1000kv UHV power transmission as a base, this paper makes a study on comprehensive benefit evaluation of UHV power transmission engineering. First, the article describes the background and significance of the topics, analysis the status quo of the comprehensive assessment of the project at home and abroad, and outlines the theoretical model of the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process. Secondly, this paper introduces the development status of UHV power transmission at home and abroad, and analyzes the necessity of Anhui-Shanghai1000kv UHV power transmission project combined with the practice need of China’s electric power development. Once again, this paper outlines the scale of the project construction and analyzes the characteristics of the construction of the project. Then, this paper builds a comprehensive evaluation index system for the project based on three aspects of technical factors, economic factors and energy saving, which includes substation siting, transmission line path, the level of investment, net present value, internal return rate, sensitivity analysis, the system energy saving transmission line project energy-saving, substation construction energy-saving etc. Finally, this paper uses AHP and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate the project, and concludes that the comprehensive benefit of Anhui-Shanghai1000kv UHV power transmission project is excellent. The research result provides a scientific criterion for decision-making and smooth implementation of the project, has certain model significance for comprehensive evaluation of the similar projects at the same time.
