Credit business is one of the most important businesses in our commercial bank.In the face of the increasingly furious horizontal competition, it is of great significance how to obtain the predominance in credit business. Because the credit product is homogeneous and its innovation is limitative in our commercial bank, the competition of credit business lies in its business process reengineering. It is immense how to reengineer the credit business process reengineering. This paper studies on credit business process. The correlative theory of management and finance is synthetically used. The study methods consist of both theory analysis and case analysis, both criterion analysis and demonstration analysis. The case is BJXW Sub-branch of Agricultural Bank in the paper. Theory analysis is the base, and case analysis is the main part of the paper.Firstly, the paper carries on the theory analysis. The theories include business process reengineering theory, credit business process reengineering theory and value chain theory. Base on the mutual relation of business process reengineering, corporation value target and value chain, the paper constructs a theory frame of credit business process reengineering in view of value chain. According as the target of credit business process reengineering, the paper distinguishes the core process and the minor process from the whole credit business processes. the core process is very useful to achieve the target, while the minor process is very useless to credit business. The former must be strengthened, the latter must be reduced. The above theory analysis offers both theory base and study method to the following case analysis. And then, the paper studies about the theory analysis. The actuality is meticulously analyzed about credit business process reengineering in BJXW Sub-branch of Agricultural Bank. The main limitations are discovered, for example, less facing customer demand, lacking efficiency, and inadequate risk control. So as to give up the main limitations, the paper brings forward the target of credit business process reengineering, determines the path of process reengineering, and progresses the systemic process reengineering. The path is to substitute the new process guidance for the former function guidance. The systemic process reengineering consists of application & investigation, review & examination, discussion & approval, credit management, risk control and the electronically operation redesign. The new credit business process bases on the customer risk and business risk matrix. And it includes three types, that is to say, low-risk, moderate-risk and high-risk credit business process reengineering. After accomplishing the new credit business process, the paper chooses three measure targets in the light of the three targets of process reengineering. The three measure targets are satisfaction degree of customers, time factor, and risk control. The performance of new credit business process is forecasted in quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis by the three measure targets. According to the forecasting result, the new credit business process is successful.Of course, because the case is BJXW Sub-branch of Agricultural Bank and another sub-branch is different from BJXW Sub-branch, it is unsure whether the new credit business process is useful to another Sub-branch of Agricultural Bank. Because the scale is huge about Agricultural Bank of China, it isn’t verified whether the new credit business process is beneficial to the innovative development of credit business in the whole Agricultural Bank of China.
