The Clinical Research of "Du-Moxibustion Therapy" on Treating Sub-health State of Qi Deficiency Type

Object: To observe the clinical efficacy of the Du-Moxibustion therapy on thesub-health state of qi deficiency type, the qi-deficiency symptoms and the influencesof psychological condition and the degree of improvement with Du-Moxibustiontherapy of the patients were compared, and its effectiveness were discussed. In orderto provide a new way to treat and intervene for such patients.Method: Sixty patients in the state of sub-health of qi deficiency type whichmeet the standards were divided into a treatment group and a control group randomly,thirty cases for each group. The treatment group were treated with Du-Moxibustiontherapy, and the control group with electro-acupuncture therapy. To evaluate the effectof each group according to the unified standard, and test the improvement of theclinical symptoms and the quality of life before and after the three months’ treatment,and then to analyse the information with statistical methods.Result:1. Both of the two methods can improve the clinical symptoms ofqi-deficiency effectively, and there is a greatly significant difference (P<0.01)between the two groups after treatment. The treatment group is superior to the controlgroup.There is no significant difference (P>0.05) compared in groups respectively.2.Both of the two methods can improve the psychological conditionseffectively, and there is a greatly significant difference (P<0.01) between two groupsafter treatment.The treatment group is superior to the control group.There is nosignificant difference (P>0.05) compared in groups respectively. Conclusion:Du-Moxibustion therapy is one of the effective methods to treat sub-health statepatients with Qi Deficiency. In clinical practice, Du-Moxibustion therapy is painless., notrauma, and has a low cost and definite clinical effect, So it is worthy for clinicalapplication without adverse effects.
