Purpose: To summarize the clinical experience of mentor Professor Chen Qingyanon the treatment with traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine oferythrodermic psoriasis.Method: By observing the tutor of integrated traditional Chinese and Westernmedicine curative effect in the treatment of erythrodermic psoriasis, tointemperate the tutor’s understanding of erythrodermic psoriasis etiology andpathogenesis and syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese Medicine.Summarizing the experience in the prescription from heat treatment, treatmentscombined both Chinese and Western medicine, and treatment by both internal andexternal. And then discusses the academic characteristics of mentors treatmentfor erythrodermic psoriasis, and its clinical significance.Results: Erythrodermic psoriasis is a severe type of psoriasis patients. Thepatient’s condition is often unstable, and the damaged skin barrier is large.It has the danger of system infection and sepsis, can endanger the lives ofpatients. Besides it’s easy to relapse after cure, bring great mental stressand pain to the patients. Mentor professor Chen Qingyan has a clinical experiencein nearly30years. She has an original ideas and depth research in erythrodermicpsoriasis pathogenesis and clinical features. She proposed in the treatmentshould be based on the individual difference and syndrome differentiation oftraditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine orally taken correspondingwith external treatment with combination therapy. At the same time she stressedthat self emotional adjustment and psychological counseling is necessary in thetreatment of this disease process, so that patients receive comprehensivetreatment.Conclusion: The combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine andthe treatment in both inside and outside has a curative effect of erythrodermic psoriasis.
