Chronic renal failure (CRF),caused by a variety of chronic kidney disease(CKD) development to late,is a kind of clinical syndromes that mainly manifesta series of environmental disturbance and the poisoning of the seven systems.Pathogenesis is "deficiency in origin and excess in superficiality", based onthe deficiency of spleen and kidney, phlegm turbidity, water dampness, bloodstasis poison knot each standard. First putted out in the "Huangdi’s InternalClassic", TCM “preventive treatment of disease” theory, having two thousandyears of history, is not only an important part of basic theory of TCM but alsoa Chinese cultural treasure. Based on the complexity of the CRF pathogenesis, the variability of clinical symptom, my teacher, according to her clinicalexperience for many years, emphasizes the importance of prevention beforeillness, treatment when getting sick, early cure when has been ill and the defenseafter cure. Because both Chinese and western medicine have no radical cure forend-stage renal failure so far, early and middle of CRF treatment becomes moreand more important for the acknowledgement. In her clinical treatment, my teachergives priority to the prevention of chronic renal failure and strives for thereversal of early CRF. This kind of treatment method has obtained good curativeeffect in reducing the incidence of CRF, delaying the progress of CRF, relievingthe clinical symptoms, preventing and treating the complications, improvingpatient’s quality of life.
