Studies on the Volatile Constituent Spectrum in Triherbal Recipe Fructus Aurantii-Largehead Atractylodes Rh-Radix Scutellariae and Its Herbal Pairs

This paper carried out the research of triherbal recipe (THR) FA-LAR-RS comprehensively from herbal pairs point, which included FA-LAR, FA-RS, LAR-RS. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the relationship between the herb compatibility and the volatile chemical components. Chemical components of these essential oils were identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) in herb fingerprint spectrum technology together with HELP and AMWFA methods of chemometric resolution method and temperature-programmed retention indices (PTRIs). Finally, the construction of volatile constituent spectrum in triherbal recipe (THR) was completed. In total, the paper mainly covers four parts as below:1. Construction and analysis of volatile constituent spectrum in herbal pair (HP) Fructus aurantii (FA)-Largehead Atractylodes Rh (LAR) and its single herbs. In total,73,32and64volatile chemi cal components in volatile oil of FA, LAR and HP FA-LAR were s eparately determined qualitatively,which account for98.94%、97.28%and98.26%of the whole components.The main components of FA included Cyclobutane,1,2-bis(1-methylethenyl)-, trans-(28.13%),D-Li monene(24.45%), Linalol (12.63%),Crithmene (10.59%), a-Terpineol schlechthin(1.69%);The main components of LAR included Benzofu ran,6-ethenyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-3,6-dimethyl-5-isopropenyl-, trans-(63.21%), Germacrene B (7.42%), Eudesma-4(14),11-diene (4.68%),6-Isopropenyl-4,8a-dimethyl-4a,5,6,7,8,8a-hexahydro-1H-naphthalen-2-o ne (4.48%);The main components of FA-LAR included D-Limonen e (34.9%), Benzofuran,6-ethenyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-3,6-dimethyl-5-is (22.27%),1H-Cyclopropa[a]naphthalene, decahydro-1,1,3a-trimethyl-7-methylene-,[laS-(la.alpha.,3a.alpha.,7a.beta.,7b.alpha.)]-(9.52%), L inalol (6.67%);There were29common volatile constituents in HP FA-LAR and single herb FA,9common volatile constituents in H P FA-LAR and single herb LAR and12common volatile constitue nts in FA, LAR and HP FA-LAR.Among the essential oils of HP FA-LAR,14new constituents appeared and37constituents disappear ed. Through comparative analysis, the volatile constituents in HP w ere mainly derived from FA, whether from the type or the content.2. In total,18and76volatile chemical components in volatile oil of RS and HP FA-RS were separately determined q ualitatively,which account for89.47%and94.86%of the whole co mponents..The main components of RS included Acetophenone (40.01%), Valerophenone (19.21%), Guaia-3,9-diene (5.3%),Tetradec anoic acid (3.87%),2(1H)Naphthalenone,3,5,6,7,8,8a-hexahydro-4,8a-dimethyl-6-(1-methylethenyl)-(3.79%),Cycloisolongifolene,8,9-de hydro-(3.61%).And their herbal pair mainly included D-Limonene (56.75%), Linalol (13.52%),.gamma.-Terpinen (8.67%),.alph a.-Terpineol (1.9%),.beta.-Myrcene (1.67%). There were60com mon volatile constituents in HP FA-RS and single herb FA,3com mon volatile constituents in HP FA-RS and single herb RS and1c ommon volatile constituents in FA, RS and HP FA-RS. Among the essential oils of HP FA-RS,11new constituents appeared and31constituents disappeared. Generally speaking, the volatile constituents in HP were mainly derived from FA.3. In total,48volatile constituents of H P LAR-RS were checked out, which account for93.26%of the wh ole components. The main components of HP LAR-RS included11-Isopropylidenetricyclo[22.214.171.124(2,5)]undec-3-en-10-one (28.07%), Neoi solongifolene (17.67%),.alpha.-Guaiene (7.68%),6-Isopropenyl-4,8a-dimethyl-1,2,3,5,6,7,8,8a-octahydro-naphthalen-2-ol (6.9%), Isolongi folene,4,5-dehydro-(6%), Germacrene B (4.99%).There were19common volatile constituents in HP LAR-RS and single herb LAR,7common volatile constituents in HP LAR-RS and single herb R S and4common volatile constituents in LAR, RS and HP LAR-R S. Among the essential oils of HP LAR-RS,17new constituents a ppeared and15constituents disappeared. The volatile constituents in HP were derived from LAR, followed by the content size.4. Among the essential oils of THR FA-LAR-RS,5new constituents appeared an d48constituents disappeared. Generally speaking, the volatile consti tuents in THR were mainly derived from HP FA-LAR. Through co mprehensive and systematic comparative analysis of chemical compo sition of THR and its HPs, this chapter explored the substance and law of the compound compatibility to clarify scientific connotation of the compatibility from the chemical composition point. Besides, the study also benefits the research on combination and demolition of recipe.
