Objective Health education and reinforcement intervention for hypertension patients inNingxia city were carried out in order to increase the rates of awareness, treatment and control,change the lifestyle, lower the curve of the blood pressure (BP) level, aiming at exploring themethods preventing and controlling hypertension suffered by person in Ningxia. MethodsWith stratified entire crowd of moute carlo methods, extracts Guyuan, Zhongwei, Shizuishan,Yinchuan, Wuzhong and other areas to select1natural village and/or1Cities Communityaccording to the population proportion in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region differentgeography position respectively.6natural villages and6Cities Community resident over theage of1812900people, by conducts the questionnaire survey and medical examination to theobject of study after the specialists of unification training. The questionnaire content includingthe ordinary circumstances, the hypertension and heart blood vessel of brain illness medicalhistory, possibly such as smoking, drinks wine with the hypertension related influencingfactor, the food habit, screens3Cities Community patients with elevated blood pressure735people, will carry on (in July,2010to it one-year-July,2011) the hypertension communitywill intervene. Results Hypertension patient treatment rate and hypertension control successrate and BMI success rate separately before intervention after48.44%,40.95%,37.82%enhance to the intervention58.50%,71.56%,49.66%, average systolic pressure and diastolicpressure level before intervention (137.70±14.83mmHg,84.59±10.55mmHg), after reducingto the intervention (136.09±11.08mmHg,83.23±7.11mmHg), the difference has the statisticalsignificance (P<0.05); Around intervention smoking rate and drinking wine are led before the intervention16.03%,9.51%, after dropping to the intervention10.33%,6.66%(P<0.05)Conclusions The comprehensive intervention model based on the programme of healtheducation, is effective and practicable. It can be conducted to increase the rates of awareness,treatment and blood pressure control, to improve health condition and life quality, reduce BPlevel of residents and the rates of hypertension.
