Level Change and Correlation Studies of IL-27in the Serum of Patients with COPD

Object：The experiment will study the concentration of serum IL-27in COPD patients and healthy control group,and to investigate its pathogenesis in COPD, and through analysis correlation between IL-27in patientswith COPD and lung function,to preliminary study relationships among IL-27,inflammation and airflowobstruction.providing a certain basis for that whether it can be become biomarkers of COPD, and thus it isan extremely important significance to provide effective prevention and treatment for the clinicalanti-inflammatory treatment of COPD.Methods：30patients with COPD during acute exacerbation and stable period, and28normal persons were chosen,all selected objects collected peripheral venous blood were centrifuged and separated fromcryopreservation at-80℃for later analysis, the concentration of IL-27was measured by enzyme-linkedimmunosorbent assay (ELISA). Test the pulmonary function by profie pulmonary function system, andanalysis the collection between the IL-27concentration and lung function in COPD group.Results：1. The concentration of IL-27in acute exacerbation, stable period and control group was (177.29±28.29)pg/ml,(104.80±44.55) pg/ml,(65.46±32.07) pg/ml, respectively. The IL-27in three groups weredifferent, and the difference was statistically significant (F=73.58, P <0.001).2. Serum IL-27in acute exacerbation, stable period was higher than the control group, serum IL-27in acuteexacerbation of COPD than stability period.3. In the acute exacerbation, the contents of serum IL-27associated with FEV1/FVC is negativelycorrelated (correlation coefficient r was-0.605，p<0.001), and associated with FEV1%is negativelycorrelated(r=-0.525,P=0.003).4. In the stable period of COPD, serum IL-27associated with FEV1/FVC is negatively correlated (r=-0.601，p<0.001), and associated with FEV1%is negatively correlated(r=-0.466,P=0.009).Conclusions：1. The concentration of serum IL-27is higher in acute exacerbation, stable period of COPD than thehealthy control group，prompts the IL-27may play pro-inflammatory in the development of COPD.2. The concentration of serum IL-27is higher in acute exacerbation of COPD than stable period, promptsthat in the exacerbations period of COPD, IL-27may be participate in the inflammatory process of COPD.3. The concentration of serum IL-27in COPD patients is negatively correlated with FEV1%、FEV1/FVC,prompts that IL-27levels in the peripheral blood of patient with COPD increases with the increase ofdisease severity of patients.
