Comparison of Percutaneous Nephrostomy vs Mini-Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy in the Treatment of Staghorn Calculi

Objective to analyse and compare the standard channel and micro channel PCNL treatment of unilateral renal staghorn calculi advantages and disadvantages as well as the effect of. Methods from2010January-2011year in December examination in our hospital diagnosed with unilateral renal staghorn calculi were divided into standard channel group with micro channel group, the length of hospital stay, operation duration, postoperative urine cleared in time, fall in hemoglobin values, whether the transfusion therapy, postoperative fever, a stone removal rate of data collection, statistical analysis, comparing with two kinds of operation schemes and the curative effect. Results the standard channel group with micro channel group of unilateral renal staghorn calculi diameter were:46.8±5.6mm and47.2±5.6mm; length of hospital stay were:18.23±7.10and18.70±9.0mm; operation duration were:1.06±0.26h and1.25±0.35h; urine cleared time were1.41±0.55h and1.33±0.53h; postoperative decline in hemoglobin values were:13.18±11.76and13.32±10.74g/l; wherein the two set of postoperative blood transfusion therapy for a number respectively in6and8cases, the proportion of9.1%and11.6%, P>0.05; postoperative fever cases were:14cases and25cases, the proportion of for21.2%and36.2%, P<0.05; a stone clearance rates were:89%(59/66) and85%(59/69). Conclusion the standard channel and micro channel group PCNL during a period of stone clearance rate, preoperative and postoperative hemoglobin drop index such as degree no significant difference between the two groups; the standard channel PCNL in treatment of staghorn calculi, operation time is short of micro channel, but postoperative fever, micro channel than the standard channel advantages, but also to make the lens operation is more flexible, more conducive to find the calyceal stones, because the channel decreases, the benefit of postoperative recovery.
