Objective Discuss the differences between Pterional and Subfrontal Approach for the Effect of Removing the Tuberculum Sellae Meningiomas,providing the reference in the choosing of operative approach.Methods A retrospectively analysis was made on70cases of tuberculum sellae meningiomas operated in the neurosurgery department of Ningxia medical university subsidiary hospital in January2002to January2012.The tumors were classified by into two groups by the Pterional and Subfrontal Approach,with the comparison of total resection rate,the recover of symptom complications between the two groups.Results The total resection rate(Simpson Ⅱ、Ⅲ) of70cases is74.28%,the total resection rate with Subfrontal Approach is higher(p=0.027<0.05),the visual prognosis is no relationship with the operative approachs(p=0.706>0.05),and the complications(p=0.706>0.05).Conclusions The total resection rate is higher with Subfrontal Approach for the better reveal of tumors.The visual prognosis and the complications are no relationship with the operative approachs.
