Objective: Through this investigation,to detailed description of characteristics ofthe anxiety and daily function damage of the population aged over60in Dalian.To improvethe quality of life of the population aged over60, to develop planning for the mentalhealth of the population aged over60and further development of community mentalhealth in formation and scientific basis.Methods: All1016persons were sampled from11areas in Dalian. The CompositicInternational Diagnostie Interview(CIDI3.0) was used in the investigation. Chi-squarewas used in the statistics.Results:1.The somatic anxiety is the main anxiety symptoms of the populationaged over60,and the most common symptoms is joint pains.2.Easy to feel the fatigue isthe most common mental anxiety symptoms.3.Gender, urban or rural, and maritalstatus had no significant effect on overall distribution of anxiety. Men are more proneto back pain and indigestion reaction than women. The urban population is more proneto headaches, and rural population more back pain.4.Marital status has a significanteffect to the self-care, social and domestic dysfunction on the population over the age of60, no spouse group function is impaired significantly higher than the spouse group.5.Anxiety affects the self-care, social and domestic functions of the people aged over60.daily dysfunction of anxiety crowd was significantly higher than those without anxietycrowd.Conclusion:1.The somatic anxiety is the main anxiety symptoms of thepopulation aged over60,and the most common symptoms is joint pains inDalian.2.Marital Status significant impact on the daily functions of the population overaged60.3.Anxiety significant impact on daily functions of the population over the ageof60.
