With the rapid development of Internet technology , the amount of information on the Internet was exponential increments . Therefore, it can effectively for the people from the vast ocean of information to obtain useful information , a variety of Internet information retrieval services came into being . The just retrieved document retrieval tasks , however , can not fully meet the demand for information . People want to be able to get more accurate , smaller particle size information . XML as a self- descriptive markup language to a large extent solved the problem . Therefore , XML information retrieval has become one of the hot research field of information retrieval . XML information retrieval , the efficient retrieval model and the indexing mechanism is possible to improve the overall performance of the retrieval system . Retrieval model , basically using the traditional information retrieval model , not a lot of language model in the XML information retrieval research . The language model in information retrieval advantage many institutes that . XML information retrieval language model is of great significance . This paper presents a language model - based XML information retrieval model , language model popular in the field of information retrieval research and improvement , so that it can retrieve the XML structure and content ( CAS ) , so as to improve XML information retrieval performance. Second, to adapt to the retrieval of the model , this paper also proposed based on XML index inverted list technology , and the use of improved Dewey coding to better the relationship between the store and the computing nodes , and optimize the encoding storage . Finally, the XML information retrieval system , and proved its effectiveness through experiments .
