Investigation Report on the Growth Status of the Preschool Children in Poor Areas

Children’s preschool period is critical for themselves’ personality, quality, and the development of behavior habits, and it is also a foundation stage of lifelong development. Since August2009, when the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) officially launched the "Early Childhood Development in Poverty-stricken Areas" project, preschool children in poverty-stricken areas growth situation has become the important subject with growing concern. Developing the career which can benefit all the healthy growth of preschool children in poverty-stricken areas plays a basically important role in improving the population quality in poverty-stricken areas. Furthermore, at the same time this career is of far-reaching significance in implementing the strategy of reinvigorating China through human resource development and building a harmonious socialist society.The author found that there are many problems in preschool children in poverty-stricken areas through the investigation of the preschool children’s living conditions and education situation in County Xiao, Anhui province. Such as the lack of life care and the health care, education support, soul communication and safety guarantee, etc. On this basis, the author attempt to put forward the countermeasures and suggestions to solve these problems through combining with local realities and analyzing the causes of these problems. All these efforts the author has made will provide scientific and effective reference and basis for social workers’ intervening in the field of solving the growth problems of preschool children in poverty-stricken areas.
