Junior secondary teaching of reading is an important part of the junior secondarylanguage teaching, and reading is an important means of the development of thought. Thisstudy is to start from the junior high school teaching of reading problems in the causes andissues analysis, the importance of the development of junior high school students thinkingin the teaching of reading, not only conducive to the improvement of students’ readingability, but also the overall junior high school language teaching objectivesan effectiveway. Then the theoretical basis on the basis of Piaget’s theory of cognitive developmentresearch, the development of students’ thinking in the junior secondary teaching of readingfrom the special nature of the development of junior secondary students thinking, languagecourses particularity and language teaching materials particularity three feasibility analysis.Finally, this study combines for Jiangsu junior secondary language teaching materials andpractical case focuses on the ways and means to develop students’ thinking in juniorsecondary teaching of reading, break the students mindset based on the characteristics ofthe reading materials for a variety of mental training and students ’individual differences ofthinking, trying to propose a reading of the full development of each student in readingthinking potential difference of thinking teaching strategies in order to foster students’quality of thinking and reading skills, and improve the efficiency of teaching of reading.
