In China, the research about "Faith in education" is an emerging field. At the end of20th Century, it has been a fact that the cognitive theory on Pedagogy is continuously developing, the work of education is becoming sprawling and increasingly complex, and the inherent conflict for teachers’role is gradually being intensified. Therefore, more and more teachers generally produce ideological confusion and anxiety, and even more slowly lost their own professional pride and sense of mission. In view of this situation, the attention of the domestic research on teachers start from teachers’professional qualities, professional skills to teachers’thoughts, emotion and willpower aspects. And the faith in education has become a hotspot in the theory research. In terms of dynamic formation process, the faith in education is a kind of psychological state and spiritual instinct beyond the education practice and primal instinctual behavior, when people constantly reflect their own living, experience the education activities and continuously pursuit the ultimate value of humane education. What’s more, its essence is that people firmly and persistently pursuit the highest value of the education activities, and look forward to the ideal of truth, goodness and beauty. Generally speaking, faith in education is the unity of our rational and irrational motives for education belief.This paper aims to explore the status, reason and cultivating strategy of education faith of China’s free normal students. First of all, this paper discusses the connotation, characteristics, structure and value of the faith in education, and builds up the basic theoretical framework of education faith. Secondly, it is to reveal the status of China free normal students’ faith, as well as the problems. This is manifested in several ways:too much attention on teaching skills, leading to lack of the awareness of education faith; too much pursuit of utility, leading to the decline of lofty education ideal; too much emphasis on material, leading on the indifference of education emotion; too much emphasis on rational, leading to lack of tough education willpower. Meanwhile, this paper analysis the reasons that may cause the problems of China free normal students’faith in a couple of serious ways:the significant effect of utilitarianism education environment in society, the lack of school-related ideology education, and the lack of its own inherent driving force. Lastly, this paper reveals some countermeasures and suggestions about the cultivation of educational faiths of free normal students. In the country aspect, the country need to carry forward the traditional culture which will play a positive role in guiding public opinion; need to improve the education system which will offer long-term protection; need to construct the faith education with new media. In the school aspect, the schools need to provide the theory education about education faith to the free normal students; need to carry out the moral education through taking excellent teachers as virtue example. From the free normal students individual point of view, they need to obtain the rational cognition about education faith; need to develop a positive emotion of education; need to form a firm will adhere to education.
