In recent years, with the continuous development of the microstrip antennatechnology, microstrip antennas are widely used in various communication fields. Its lightweight, making simple, low cost have been fully explored. With telecommunicationsequipment constantly improve, the disadvantage of microstrip antenna has also beenexposed out. Some microstrip antenna was abandoned because of its low bandwidth and itslow efficiency. With the rapid delvelopment of the Global Position System in theworld, higher and higher performance has been put forward, not only circularpolarization, but also their appearance and anti-interference capabilityrequirements, especially in the research on miniaturized and wideband antenna. In thisthesis, some new designs and researchs have been done towards these demands in the basisof original design.A layer microstrip antenna working in1.575GHz band has been designed andresearched. It greatly improved the operating bandwidth of the microstrip antenna.Itsimpedance bandwidth is up20%and its circular polarization bandwidth is up to11.4%.A miniaturized microstrip antenna is proposed, which is based on Koch fractalantenna. We use the microstrip antenna with slots in order to achieve antenna’sminiaturization. The antenna area is reduced to1/4without changing the antenna operatingfrequency and the simulation has been completed.A quarter of phase difference Roatated2*2antenna array has been proposed.Itsimpedance bandwidth is up to17.8%and its circular polarization bandwidth is up to40%.
