Through the speedy developing of communication technique these years, mobile network soft switch technique becomes important technique in most telecoms operators. The badly core equipment failure is a disaster for the telecoms operators’ credit in the hot market competition now. The telecoms operators and the equipment manufacturers therefore attach importance to enhancing the stability and the security of the large capability equipment and communication network by the technique way. At present, the way of MSC SERVER disaster recovery in the soft switch network mostly contains1+1master&standby mode,1+1backup each other mode, n+1backup mode and MSC POOL mode.We introduce the background and the significance of MSC POOL firstly, and summarize the technical character, work process and advantage of MSC POOL. Wherefore, we introduce the necessary of MSC POOL rebuilding of China Unicom Wuhan branch. In other words, China Unicom Wuhan branch will achieve the disaster recovery target on network layer through MSC POOL rebuilding step by step.We design the MSC POOL disaster recovery plan according to the character basing on actuality of Wuhan Unicom in this paper. And we discuss the BSC/RNC double connet reconstruction,voice over IP reconstruction, CE reconstruction and explain necessary of the virtual MGW,mobile management and agent MSC. And then, we discuss the MSRN design and the programming of mobile management and agent MSC.At last of this paper, we compare the traffic statistical data before MSC POOL rebuilding with the forecast data,and illuminate the plan is right. The design of MSC POOL which base on the technique characteristics and core network actuality in Wuhan Unicom is helpful to the core network disaster recovery on the application level.
